The Cleantech Open is a nonprofit organization that runs the world's largest cleantech accelerator. Its mission is to find, fund and foster entrepreneurs with big ideas that address today's most urgent energy, environmental and economic challenges. Since its founding in 2005 by leaders in Silicon Valley and Boston, it has established itself as the leading force for accelerating clean technology entrepreneurs. Of the over 700 companies it has worked with in the United States alone, nearly half have gone on to raise external capital now totaling over $800 million. Powered by a network of more than 2,000 volunteers, the Cleantech Open unites the best cleantech ideas with the resources they need. Integrous, together with Samsung, sponsored the 2011 Global Forum, the Academy Awards of Cleantech. Kian currently serves as the National In-Kind Sponsorship Chair, is a member of the Audit Committee, and a finance mentor for the Western Region competitors.

For more than 110 years, nonprofit Golden Gate University (GGU) has been helping adults achieve their professional goals by providing undergraduate and graduate education in Accounting, Law, Taxation, Business and related areas. GGU is California's fourth oldest private university, enrolling 5,000 students and representing more than 68,000 alumni. As an adjunct professor in the Financial Planning Program at the Edward S. Ageno School of Business, Kian teaches Business Development in Financial Services. He presents the latest marketing, business development and practice management tools and techniques applicable to his field and hosts leading industry experts and practitioners as guest speakers.
The mission of the Foundation for Financial Planning is to help people take control of their financial lives by connecting the financial planning community with people in need.
